The book is a collection of letters from the son of a Hopi chieftain to the Lady of the New Moon, a white woman he fell in love with, sent to her in his dreams. The author went to live among the Hopi in Arizona in1909. According to The New York Times, Ryan claimed to be the only white woman ever admitted to the secret religious rites of the Hopi. In notably good condition with some wear at the extremeties and light soiling on the covers. Very good. Item #400097
