Rare black and white printer's proof of four [4] illustrations after Tom of Finland, each measuring 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" on one [1] sheet measuring 23" x 17 1/2." Includes one [1] single man in uniform and three [3] couples in various states of dress. Tom of Finland, born Touko Laaksonen, is considered one of the most iconic artists of all time. He made stylized, highly masculinized homoerotic art which influenced late 20th-century gay culture. He began contributing drawings to Bob Mizer's "Physique Pictorial" in the 1950s and by the late 1970s, his work was widely exhibited. Today, his work is in the collections of The Los Angeles County Museum, The Museum of Modern Art in New York and The Art Institute of Chicago, among many other institutions.
