Monograph on Goodhue [1869-1924], best known for St. Bartholomew's and St. Thomas's churches in NYC, and other ecclesiastical and civic works built in the first decades of the 20th century. Goodhue was a widely accomplished architect but was severely criticized by some for his opposition to the conventions of the Beaux Arts as well as for not fully embracing the tenets of the new European modernism towards the end of his career.
